Wait and See... Products I've used up!

Empties!
As I came to the end of June I wanted to take about all the things I loved/hated for June but then I realized that I had 5 products I have used up! So before I post my hits and misses blog I wanted to tell you all about my empties!

1. Nivea Refreshing Toner http://well.ca/products/nivea-refreshing-toner_2749.html
I liked this toner, I used it.. but I'm not racing out to get it. It was okay nothing fancy. Wasn't a bad buy but I didn't fall in love with it.

2. Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation http://well.ca/products/revlon-nearly-naked-liquid-makeup_67157.html
I adored this foundation for the colder months (it's just gotten really hot here as of June) I started to love it less as we went through June, because it doesn't stand up in the heat as well on MY skin. I am also EXTREMELY pale and this oxidized on me in the heat. However, the coverage was great for the winter/spring months when my skin was a little drier. I will likely repurchase when the weather gets colder again. I use colour 110 Ivory.

3. Sally Hansen Maximum strength polish remover http://www.sallyhansen.co.uk/products/nail-polish-remover
I love this. It's the only one I buy, and only one I ever will buy! I don't know why, but this polish is fantastic. I bought the purple one once.. NO GO! Love the pink It's advertise for thin soft nails which is a huge problem I have - my nails peel and anything I can do to help is best. They've changed the packaging since I last bought this, but I think the formulation is the same.

4. Maybelline Age rewind facial primer.
http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=127107/Instant_Age_Rewind_Primer_Skin_Transformer/Maybelline/Primer/_Corrector
I enjoyed this primer. It's a gel consistency and clear when it comes out. It smooths over your skin and allows your make up to glide over top of this layer. It made my foundation glide on but I can't say it kept it on any longer than other times, but I felt like it helped with moisturizing.

5. Macadamia Deep Repair Masque http://www.amazon.ca/Macadamia-Oil-Deep-Repair-ounces/dp/B002WTC37A
I've talked about this a lot. I love this product. I use it as conditioner every time I wash my hair. Keep in mine I only wash my hair every 3-4 days. I don't think you should use this every day nor is it economically sound. This is expensive, but worth it for me as it lasts a long time and gives amazing results

These are all the products I used up in the last little bit. Stay tuned for my favourites and my hits/misses post.

Wait and See... hair talk!

Hair Products I ADORE
These products have made me actually like my hair which has been a daily or hourly battle since I was a child! I would describe my hair as THICK, slightly wavy, frizzy, dry at the ends, and damaged to say the least. I am a natural blonde, but I have been lightening my hair for years. Before I found products that allowed my hair to be somewhat tame I straightened it daily. I didn't know about fancy, fancy heat protectants and such! I’m in the process of healing and growing my hair out. Here are the products I started using when I decided enough was enough and we were going back to healthy hair!

       1. Bye Bye Frizz Blow Dry Cream by Marc Anthony. I LOVE this stuff. Just apply it to your hair evenly (I focus at the ends since I have dry ends and oily roots) Blow dry as normal.  I swear this stuff cuts the frizz and fluff factor of my hair by at least 50 percent. It’s not sleek as though I had used a straightener but a hell of a lot closer than not using it. Plus it protects my hair from the heat. I use this in conjunction with product 2 and 3 for the most part, but have used it on its own and it’s still fantastic!

 2. Salon Selectives Repair and Fortify Leave in Treatment for Dry damaged hair. I spritz this on my hair from the ears down right after I get out of the shower. I also spray it on my hair whenever it feels dry. I like the way it smells. I wouldn't classify this as the best leave in conditioner.I'm sure there are others I would like, but this was cheap, smells good, and does the job!
                 3.  Tresemée Heat Tamer Spray
– I love this, you love this, everyone loves this. I would say this is a cult product and I am drinking the kool-aid for sure. I love the way this product sprays out in a fine mist, how good it smells, and the fact that it protects my hair from damage!

As I said, I use these products together most of the time. I only wash my hair 2-3 times a week because any more and my hair gets SO dry. Here are some more hair products I use in the shower.
4. Herbal Essences None of your Frizzness shampoo – in reality I’m not picky about shampoo. I just bought Tame frizz shampoo from the dollar store because my Herbal essences one is almost out. But I must say, I love the way this one smells. Mmm.

           5.  Macadamia Natural Oil Line – mainly the deep repair masque. I've tried the oil, shampoo, moisturizing rinse and oil spray. All are ‘good’ but the deep repair mask, that is in a class all its own. I use it as my conditioner. Every time. It smells AMAZING and mainly… it works! My hair feels so soft after using this product.  This stuff is worth the money.

Now for a hair product I hate..
UGH
Lush R&B hair moisturizer. For one thing it smells DISGUSTING. I literally couldn't handle it. Not even if I covered it up by spraying body spray on my hair. It smells like old leaves. I don’t know I can’t explain it, but it’s gross. On top of THAT, it doesn't work! I didn't notice any difference in the ends of my hair. I stuck to this for a good 2 weeks 2-3 times a week. It was bad.

I really want to like Lush, but they are making it difficult.

Wait and see... cleaning house!

Have you ever had the urge to clean your house at 1230 at night?

That's what I'm doing right now, picking up and tidying and was about to tackle the kitchen before I sat down to post this. Why is it that we go to bed awake and wake up tired?
I am always exhausted but WIDE AWAKE at midnight and not even close to rested when I get up even if I've had 8 hours sleep. Does anyone else get like that?
